ceramic.wiki is a small, independently run reference site. This page describes what data the site collects and why, in plain terms rather than dense legal boilerplate.
The site uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate visitor traffic: which pages are read, roughly how many visitors the site gets, and approximate visitor location (country/region/city, derived from IP address, not a precise address). Google Analytics sets cookies to do this. It does not run until a visitor accepts the cookie banner shown on first visit; declining prevents it from loading at all. That choice is remembered in the browser (via localStorage) so the banner does not reappear on every page, and can be changed at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer.
No other advertising or tracking script runs on this site. Analytics data is visible only within Google Analytics to the site's operator, not sold or shared with any other third party.
The /events and /opportunities boards accept public submissions with no account or login required. A submission includes whatever contact information (name, email, and/or a website link) the submitter chooses to provide. That contact information becomes part of the public listing once approved — it is not kept private or visible only to moderators, since the whole point of including it is so interested visitors can reach out directly. Submitters should only include contact details they are comfortable having publicly visible. Submissions are held for moderator review before appearing publicly; nothing is auto-published. The board's database does not separately log submitters' IP addresses.
Per-article discussion uses Wiki.js's built-in comment system, tied to a Wiki.js account (used by contributors and moderators, not by anonymous visitors) rather than to anonymous public submissions.
